Weddle in your Window’ is a series of paintings made throughout 2014, in a Northcote flat which overlooks the noisy intersection of two busy arterial roads. From the view, there is great contrast in the mood of the frustrated and seemingly wired drivers, to that of the few pedestrians and cyclists that despite the traffic, appear relaxed and in tune with the leafy streetscape. These paintings depict characters from both sides and the relationships formed with each other. Weddle is a self-taught painter, working intuitively and spontaneously in very short intense bursts. 100% of purchases will be donated to Autism Spectrum Australia – Australia’s leading service provider for children with autism.
