FOYER SPACE
ONE MINUTE SERENADE
TESS HEALY

One Minute Serenade reimagines the once popular form of the serenade, through a live and ongoing experiential art work. Every day, for the length of the exhibition, two performers will be present in the space. These performers, a writer and a serenader will work as partners, collaborating to produce and deliver a personalised serenade for each viewer who enters the gallery space.
Interested in exploring and fictionalising popular social rituals surrounding love and relationships, One Minute Serenade oscillates between being theatrical and intimate. The viewer, for a moment, occupies the privileged space usually reserved for a lover, and in that sense they become both character and subject in this fictional play of romance.
