Untitled (domestic gestures) depicts a woman attempting to escape the everyday through a variety of comic vignettes. The series is an archive of absurd gestures which are repetitious, futile, joyous, and mischievous. They are intended to be humorous and have a slapstick quality to them. The videos are shaped by the notion of the comic anti-hero – a central figure allowing us to laugh at the ridiculousness of our own experience, and ultimately, liberate us from it.
