AN END IN SIGHT
NINA KNEZEVIC

An End in Sight is an exhibition of small-format and intimate drawings. Scrutinising old saturated photographic images and Polaroids of her familial past, the artist Nina Knezevic reconstructs and renews her familial history through a conjunction of the imagined, remembered and photographed past.
“The works are driven by what we can and cannot see, the limits of perception and memory and the multitudes of ways to perceive and describe that through the rich language of drawing. What inspires me is how to resolve a vague sensory memory or feeling with concrete visual information and turn it into another type of pictorial and metaphorical reality. The drawings become a type of testament or document to this process of construction and collapse and how they are woven together.”
