NOT A MOMENT TOO LOOSE
LUKE ADAMS
This installation is an experiment in producing fast work. It is approached with the idea of ‘sculpture as sketch’, where the creative process of ‘ideas’ and ‘making’ is continuous. The outcome of the work had not been predetermined and was only complete once installed. By combining readily available home office supplies with lights and moving parts Luke Adams’ aim is to create a spatial work that is activated by its fresh and immediate approach.
The intention of the work is to celebrate creativity, ingenuity, invention, design and failure. Accepting that in the process of making artworks, the chance events and corrections of errors, are sometimes the most interesting elements in art.
