In collaboration with programmer and colleague Nicko Caluya, cloud field is an ongoing project that examines contemporary subjectivities in the wake of the information Age. The program draws from a 3-year compilation of texts and Facebook messages of mine saying “san ka?” (“where are you?”) and plots each message on a randomly generated virtual landscape. Both text and place (mis)guide the viewers whose only point of contact is the mouse and its cursor. This work was part of a group exhibition called Spatial Territories held in the University of the Philippines Diliman (2016).
