These works were created for An Act of Showing, curated by Anabelle Lacroix (from a research project directed by Maria Miranda), May 17th – May 27th 2017 at Testing Grounds.
c3’s contribution to An Act of Showing is a multi-part response to notions of place, localism and connection. Each response emerges from a discussion about the immediacy, multiplicity and importance of place for communities of practitioners. Observation, communication, material markers and pressing issues of our present situation have highlighted the network that joins seemingly disparate places and people. Working in this manner has revealed the ARI as a site of convergence of many systems, fields and practices.
