This suite of paintings references the readymade image and reinterprets collage into the painted page. These works are a continuation of my practice based on new collage and new representation in painting.
I assemble visual fragments of debris material and replicate the signs of decay, creases, rips and torn edges of pages. The torn pages and splicing of images make reference to disruption and disjunction within the pictorial space. These collages are reinterpreted as the painted page and presented as a momento mori.
