HAUNTED HOUSE
In late 2012, Tobias spent two weeks in Jogjakarta, Java. Whilst there, a local travelling carnival set-up with one of the featured attractions being the “Haunted Houses”. Hand-made, hand-painted and depicting a variety of horror themes and characters, Tobias did a series of drawings on site. Back in the studio in Australia, he completed a series of large paintings based on the drawings made during the visits to the Haunted Houses, continuing his personal themes relating to home and houses.
