BIG SKY

This show is a small democratic selection of work finished over the last year. Most images and objects are based on observations made spending time in Melbourne, Central Victoria, New Zealand, on the Internet and reading about history, music, conspiracy theories and the news. I collect photos and images as references, the way painters did when photography was first invented. This gives a painting a foot into a small section of the real world while suggesting a greater whole. The title Big Sky comes from a song I like by The Kinks, which suggests that nothing is important by itself
