SEQUENTIAL CARTOGRAPHIC DRAWINGS

Studio research has led me to hypothesise a cartographic link between the drawn, the sculpted and visualisation technologies, which I am exploring with this exhibition at C3 Contemporary Art space. This investigation is realised via the presentation of a range of spatial and temporal sequential imagery generated through a combination of technologies and reinterpreted through the hand using traditional drawing processes. These current works are inspired by the Borgesian notion of the one to one map and the conquest for detail and classification. This exhibition has been created in 2011 as the latest investigative drawings that form part of my Masters of Fine Art by Research at the Victorian College of the Arts.
