In the endless march of progress, modern man has become divorced from the natural world. Environmental loss and species extinction on a grand scale now further burden the consciousness with a deep sense that our problems are insurmountable, perhaps we are doomed. As individuals we become plagued by anxiety and guilt – feelings that ultimately manifest themselves through apathy, inaction and consumption.
The works in this exhibition seek to explore the relationship between apathy, anxiety and the looming loss of the natural world.
