ASSEMBLE

Assemble is a dynamic and immersive collage installation that utilises contrasting colour relationships and large-scale forms to activate space. Geometric shapes are reconfigured through many variations, interacting with their surrounds and each other to create visual structure. Working collaboratively, the artists make use of colour and form as dynamic spatial tools- a chance, often slightly uncomfortable use of colour in the work creates movement and spatial ambiguity. The installation aims to create a visual tension between the formal aspects of colour perception and hard-edged geometry and the seemingly organic way in which the work engages and configures the gallery space.
