This body of work sits in a juncture between the exploration of contemporary spirituality in art and the transcendental power of colour to control and manipulate emotion. These pieces are truly about control – a refusal to give up control in the analogue production of photographic works and a refusal to give up the contemplative search for spiritual gratification through a combination of artistic labour and meditation.
Expansive colour pictures, soporific video works and delicate imagery are combined to create a place for contemplation.
